Mortician License in Kansas
The state of Kansas does not offer a mortician license, but it does offer a funeral director license. This license is administered by the Kansas State Board of Mortuary Arts.
Before you can apply for a funeral director license you will need to complete 60 hours of education from a college or university. Of those 60 credits, 20 of them must be defined by the board. You will also need to complete an apprenticeship and pass the state board exam.
To continue to hold your license in this state you will need to complete 12 hours of continuing education every two years.
